West End Connection

The West End Connection is an existing fellowship and study small group that meets every-other-Sunday evening in the Waconia area. The group is made up mainly of people in their 40s to early 50s who desire to be deepen their faith in studying God’s Word, praying for each one another, and enjoying friendship around a hot cup of coffee. This group also enjoys occasional planned activities and service projects beyond the scheduled small group times. We're studying the Book of Acts. We have openings for a few new people and hope you’ll give us a call to see if this might be a good fit.

This existing small group of 10 adults (single & married from 3 churches) consists of empty nesters, but is open for any age serious about studying the Bible. We will begin on Jan 5 in our home in Waconia. We will be studying "Experiencing Forgiveness" by Dr Charles Stanley. We focus on discovering what the Bible says as we ask questions about its content and search for answers in our studies and life application. If this sounds like where you are, do come join us!

Training for New Small Group Leaders
Make a difference in the lives of others by using your gifts of shepherding, leadership or encouragement and join others to answer the call to small group leadership! This 6-week “TURBO training small group” will orient and equip new leaders to essentials of Westwood Small Group Ministry, build community, strengthen leadership skills and groom leaders to launch their own Small Group. Come prepared to experience and take practical steps toward modeling and multiplying Small Groups at Westwood. Imagine what could happen as God uses you to increase environments where people feel comfortable and the Holy Spirit is invited to work!
Friday Mornings at Perkins

The Friday Morning Group meets every week, regardless of the weather. We are a varied group, ranging in ages from the late 20s to mid 50s with a diversity of professional backgrounds. We are all men who live in and around the Chanhassen area - stretching from Plymouth to Mound; some are married, some single, and nearly all of us have children.
Our format is to spend half of our time in fellowship and prayer, and half in Bible study. The unifying factor for us is our desire to delve into the Bible in order to learn and apply what God is showing us. We also find great joy in encouraging each other...and simply enjoying each others' company. Yes, it is early...but consider it a great way to jump start your Friday mornings!

We are a Men’s small group Bible Study that meets here at Westwood in the Prairie Room at 7:15am every Saturday morning. Currently we are studying the book of Colossians. This is a straightforward Bible study. We read one chapter of the Bible from the book we are working through and with the help of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom in the room we try to hear what God is trying to say to us through His Scriptures. We are always open to new members. No registration, cost or preparation.

NEW to Westwood, a small group just for homeschool moms! Our purpose is to provide support and encouragement for each other based on Biblical truths. A verse that reflects our heart’s desire is Galatians 6:7-8. We always reap what we sow: If we sow joy, patience, gratefulness, and kindness, we will reap the same in our lives. Conversely, if we constantly sow impatience, bitterness, ingratitude, and self-pity, that is also the harvest we will reap from those around us. Our goal is to provide time to talk, laugh, pray and make connections with other homeschool moms both at Westwood and in the area.
Hope & Help for Single Moms

Being a single mom might be a different path than you would have chosen. Regardless, you have the rest of your life in front of you and the best is yet to come. This existing small group is a safe environment that is open to several additional single moms. We trust it will inspire you to life well and raise healthy children. We generally take turn hosting the group and try our best of accommodate children. We’re wrapping up our current study and we invite you to consider joining us for our next study which begins in early March.
You’re Not Alone II

This existing small group is designed for married women whose spouses do not share their same spiritual journey, and who would benefit from encouragement and support from an intimate group of friends. It is a safe environment for women of faith to journey together. Join us as we take a step toward discovering God's guiding presence in our lives through His word, Christian books, and uplifting fellowship. We have openings for six additional women. "Therefore encourage one another, and build each other up." 1 Thess. 5:11.

Young Men's Bible Study

Are you in your 20s - 30s and looking for a place to connect with other men in this stage of life? This group is specifically for young adult men that desire to study the Bible and learn from other Christian books. As we study together we want to draw closer to God, develop friendships and share encouragement with each other. Our desire is to dig into the Bible and learn how to apply it’s truths to our daily lives by bringing Christ into the workplace and discovering what it means to be better husbands and fathers. "Crazy Love" Digging Deeper Small Group

If you are a young adult woman who desires to grow in authentic faith while gathering with other women to seek God in bringing tangible and radical solutions to our daily life trials, then this is the place for you! We will dig deeper into Song of Solomon along with Pastor Joel's sermon series, "Crazy Love". In our study we will bridge contemporary dating, courting and marriage realities with biblical principles that define practices that seek to honor God. We will help one another (singles and married) reclaim God's intentions for meaningful, sustainable relationships. Whether you are new to faith in Christ, doubting and asking questions, or a long-term Christian, come without reservation!
